WEB Sutherland, whose legendary acting career spanned seven decades and included iconic roles in films like "MASH" and "Klute," passed away on June 20, 2024, at the age of 88. Sutherland was born in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, on July 17, 1935. He began his acting career in the early 1960s, and his breakout role came in 1967 when he played Hawkeye Pierce in the war comedy-drama "MASH."

Sutherland's performance in "MASH" earned him a Golden Globe Award and an Academy Award nomination. He went on to star in a number of other critically acclaimed films, including "Kelly's Heroes" (1970), "Klute" (1971), and "Don't Look Now" (1973). In addition to his film career, Sutherland also appeared in a number of television shows, including "The X-Files" and "24."
