Netherlands vs France: Banner Protest Mars Dutch Victory

Dutch Fans Voice Concerns Before UEFA EURO Group Stage Match

Protest Highlights Concerns About Qatar World Cup

As the Dutch national anthem Wilhelmus played before the Netherlands' 2-1 win against Poland, their supporters behind the goal held up banners expressing their concerns about the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The banners read "No Qatar 2022" and "Boycott Qatar 2022," highlighting the ethical issues surrounding the tournament, including allegations of human rights abuses and corruption.

The protest comes as several countries continue to voice their concerns about Qatar's hosting of the World Cup. Human rights groups have documented the deaths of thousands of migrant workers involved in the construction of stadiums and infrastructure.

The Netherlands Football Federation has previously stated that it supports a boycott of the World Cup if Qatar does not improve its human rights record.

The protest by Dutch fans is expected to bring further attention to the ethical concerns surrounding the upcoming tournament.
