UEFA Euro 2024, commonly known as Euro 2024, is the 17th edition of the UEFA European Football Championship. The quadrennial international men's football championship is scheduled to be held in Germany from June 14 to July 14, 2024.

Qualifying Tournament

The qualifying tournament for Euro 2024, which featured 53 UEFA member associations, commenced in March 2023. The 24 teams that qualified for the final tournament were determined after a series of group stage matches and playoffs.

Host Country: Germany

Germany was selected as the host country for Euro 2024, marking the third time the tournament will be hosted by Germany (after 1988 and 2006). Ten cities across Germany will host matches, including Berlin, Hamburg, and Munich.

Format and Rules

The Euro 2024 final tournament will follow the same format as previous editions. The 24 qualified teams will be divided into six groups of four teams each. The top two teams from each group, as well as the four best third-placed teams, will advance to the knockout stage.

The knockout stage will consist of a round of 16, quarterfinals, semifinals, and the final. The matches will be played in a single-elimination format, with extra time and penalty shootouts used to determine the winner if necessary.
